You should hold relevant professional design experience and a strong and varied design portfolio showcasing your passion for all things creative.

Coventry University Students’ Union’s values are to be helpful, inclusive and ethical and these are reflected in our progressive and people focused rewards and benefits. We offer generous annual leave, an agile working scheme and place a high level of importance on staff support, development, inclusivity, and wellbeing.

Key duties will include:

  • To produce high quality design concept, artwork, and production for publications, media, and communications, both physical and digital, across multiple disciplines.
  • To liaise with SU staff members to propose creative solutions to submitted briefs and support on all aspects of design and print production.
  • To ensure the implementation of relevant brand guidelines in all creative work, maintaining brand integrity across a portfolio of projects.
  • To maintain and organise a concise production schedule implementing systems of tracking work to ensure deadlines are met.

Working hours and Location

This post is a permanent, part-time role working 22.5 hours per week. These hours would be worked across 3 full days, however we have a flexible approach and are open to applications from candidates that may require some variation to the contracted hours. As an organisation, we have an agile working programme which supports staff working from home; our head office is based in Coventry, but we are open to remote working within the UK with some limited travel to the Coventry office required on a small number of occasions across the year.

Salary Details

The salary is £25,742 - £28,759 (pro rata).
It is usual to start at the bottom of the grade and will increase incrementally on an annual basis, however for a candidate with highly relevant previous experience an offer may be made within the grade range. The salary advertised is the full-time salary, but as the role is on a reduced-hour basis the salary (and holiday entitlement) will be calculated pro-rata accordingly.
