Commercial Marketing Lead

Salary: £32,080 - £36,636 per annum

Contract: Permanent and Full-Time

We’re looking for someone commercially minded with experience of working to financially driven KPIs to lead the marketing and communications activity across our diverse Commercial Services portfolio. This dynamic and varied role requires experience of stakeholder engagement, data-led campaign planning and creative copywriting to raise awareness and build loyalty across sporting facilities, entertainment venues, food and beverage outlets, merchandise, and new business opportunities, as well as supporting the growth of our external creative design offer.

As our Commercial Marketing Lead, you’ll work closely with Commercial Services departments to develop campaigns that increase customer engagement, strengthen our brands and drive financial performance. From launching new products and creating engaging content to developing data-led campaigns and delivering in-person brand activations, you’ll play a key role in helping us achieve our commercial ambitions whilst making a positive impact on the student experience.

Key duties will include:

  • Support Commercial Services to achieve commercial aims and financial targets through proactive marketing support and product development, organising regular meetings and reviews.
  • To provide marketing support for the core income portfolio of gym memberships, facility and venue hire, and food and beverage sales.
  • Create and provide innovative and engaging ideas to improve overall commercial and corporate targets, including but not exclusive to supporting with offers and pricing strategy.
  • Develop customer insights and data to ensure SU commercial marketing campaigns are data driven.

Working Hours and Location

This post is a permanent role, and the full-time contract is 37.5 hours per week. As an organisation, we have an agile working programme which supports staff working from home, however regular working each week is required on site in Coventry (minimum 3 days per week in the office) and flexibility to meet business need is required. There will be occasional travel to other Coventry University Group Campuses or other external meetings.

We do have a flexible approach and are open to applications from candidates that may require some variation to the contracted hours or hybrid arrangements (although this is not a fully remote role and a minimum of 30 hours / 4 days per week is required). Salary Details

£32,080 - £36,636 per annum, based on experience.
