Student Activities Assistant Manager
Salary: £32,080 - £36,636 per annum

Coventry University Students’ Union is a charity dedicated to improving the experience of students at the Coventry University Group, operating across 7 campuses in Coventry, London, and Scarborough.
We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Manager in our Activities Team. You would be leading a small team of Activities Coordinators to work with and develop our student leaders to deliver high-quality, safe, and inclusive student-led activity through our student communities, societies, events, and campaigns. Supporting and deputising for the Activities Manager, you would be working to increase engagement from our students and enhance the university experience for students on our Coventry Campuses. This role would be ideally suited to someone with experience working with students or service users and already in a supervisory or management role, or an experienced Coordinator looking to gain line management experience.

Key duties will include:
- Leading in the management of our Coventry-based societies, activities programmes, communities and network building, and campaign based activity.
- Supervising and directing the Activities Coordinators to develop, grow, and promote our Societies and Communities in Coventry with an emphasis on equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Holding responsibility for, and leading the team in, the effective and responsive management of student activity enquiries.
- Supporting with the delivery of training to student leaders to develop their capabilities in leadership, governance, event delivery, and campaigning.
Working hours and Location
This post is permanent working full-time 37.5 hours per week; a flexible approach to working hours is required.
As an organisation we have an agile working programme which allows for some opportunity for working from home. For this role the successful candidate will be required to work on campus in our Coventry office a minimum of 4 days a week during term time, with additional flexibility to meet business need.
Salary Details
The salary is £32,080 - £36,636 per annum.
It is usual to start at the bottom of the grade and will increase incrementally on an annual basis, however for a candidate with highly relevant previous experience an offer may be made within the grade range.
